Qualifications & Experience
- BCom Financial Accounting / CIMA / CA(SA)
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in manufacturing or construction environment
- Extensive knowledge of best practice accounting systems, policies, and procedures
- Experience with IT systems such as MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems (Preference to Syspro)
- Management of procurement and warehousing (stores & inventory)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cash flow management: Complies with group requirements for cash flow management and reporting, including project and overhead expenses.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end accounting processes, perform complex balance sheet reconciliations such as WIP & revenue recognition, and ensure full monthly financial compliance (e.g., SARS).
- Financial Operations: Responsible for CAPEX processes, support operational decision-making with relevant reports, and assist in costing and price setting for tenders, quotations, and orders.
- Governance and Controls: Maintain records of source documents, ensure compliance with audit requirements, and liaise with auditors for the annual audit. Develop and enforce compliance with group, entity, and regulatory policies.
