Strategy and Initiatives
- Design and implement an end-to-end driver acquisition and retention strategy by creating a compelling driver value proposition to improve and maintain Driver NPS.
- Define and implement projects focused on continuous improvement related to recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Develop a driver forum (listening sessions) and engagement events.
- Develop and execute business trust and safety strategy for scale.
- Draft and implement driver compliance strategy by creating standard operating procedures and policies across the driver value chain.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices to implement innovative and effective initiatives aligned to business strategy.
Driver Supply - Sourcing
- Develop effective, digital driver application, onboarding, and training flow.
- Collaborate with learning and development to ensure all drivers are trained on the business app, processes, and procedures to ensure successful deliveries and a positive driver experience.
- Coordinate training logistics: inform drivers of training dates, send invitations, ensure attendance registers are completed and sent to third parties, and facilitate onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with forecasting, growth, and operations teams to ensure driver capacity based on business demand.
- Facilitate recruitment requisitions sign-off.
Driver Supply - Retention
- Develop a scalable communication framework.
- Implement automated driver performance rewards and penalties.
- Partner with product and technology teams to improve user experience for drivers.
Driver Supply – Driver Management
- Handle driver payment queries and requests for proof of employment/remuneration.
- Maintain driver records and coordinate system rollouts.
- Liaise with third parties on queries.
Trust and Safety – Driver Compliance
- Develop SOPs and code of conduct with remediation and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor driver document compliance, licenses, permits, and insurance.
Trust and Safety – Incident Reporting
- Develop processes for incident escalation and response.
- Monitor and respond to safety incidents, accidents, and complaints.
- Collaborate on abuse detection and moderation tools.
- Engage with clients regarding incidents affecting their accounts.
- Follow up on insurance claims.
Trust and Safety – Risk Management
- Assess and manage business risks, ensuring compliance and remedial actions.
- Develop insurance strategies and manage claims processes.
- Review partner/driver agreements annually to ensure legal compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with other departments to support organizational goals.
- Provide feedback to inform product development and service improvements.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and meetings.
Budget and Resource Management
- Manage resources to meet service demands within budget.
- Forecast staffing needs and optimize resource allocation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Reporting
- Develop monthly and quarterly reports on NPS, market research, driver forum, and supply/demand.
- Monitor driver performance and turnover.
- Complete weekly KPI metrics and track SOPs for uniform rollouts.
People Management
- Design and develop organizational structure.
- Manage performance and promote continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Matric
- 6 years operational experience
- 3 years eCommerce experience
- Management experience, preferably in a startup environment
- Background in sales, retail, or business development
