What We Need

We're looking for a skilled Rust Developer to join our engineering team for approximately 1.5 months.

This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise who can seamlessly collaborate with teams across different time zones.

Who You Are

You're an experienced developer with a solid background in Rust and a keen understanding of backend development.

You have a solid understanding of blockchain concepts and have gained hands-on experience working on blockchain projects.

Most importantly, you're proactive, communicative, and thrive in collaborative environments.

This role is fully remote, offering flexibility in your work location. Candidates based in Europe or South Africa are preferred.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Working directly with the engineering team on feature development, optimization, and bug fixes.
  • Collaborating with US-based teams, planning ahead to accommodate time zone differences.
  • Participating in 2-3 weekly syncs at 6 PM CET (each lasting 15-20 minutes).
  • Setting up the project locally, interacting with the UI, and handling basic Web3 tasks like connecting wallets, signing transactions, and sending them to the chain.
  • Engaging in client-facing conversations to explain technical details and provide progress updates.
Skills

Must have:

  • Strong experience with Rust.
  • Experience in backend development within a microservice architecture.
  • Understanding of Web3 concepts such as wallet connections and transaction signing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with US-based teams and manage time zone challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Proactive mindset — you're efficient at identifying and addressing potential blockers.

Nice To Have:

  • Familiarity with Python and React.
  • Previous experience working on blockchain projects or decentralized applications (dApps).
