Description

Ecowize is seeking an experienced Reach Truck Driver responsible for material handling of various items within warehouse locations. The role involves operating reach trucks and forklifts for picking, binning, moving items, and loading/unloading from transport vehicles.

High Level Objectives

• Picking and binning/receiving items in the warehouse and yard.
• Loading and unloading cargo.
• Maintaining a safe work environment by following standards and regulations.
• Ensuring equipment is well maintained and faults are reported.
• Adhering to picking schedules to ensure timely completion of loads.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing stock receipt and transfer efficiently.
• Checking, scanning, and receiving stock according to policies.
• Verifying products against slips and notes.
• Conducting quality checks on incoming and outgoing products.
• Verifying stock data in the computerized system.
• Ensuring stacks meet quality and stacking standards.
• Logging non-conforming pallets.
• Participating in continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification.
• Valid forklift and reach truck licenses.
• Experience in forklift and reach truck operation.
• Experience with chemical handling and loading trucks.
• Knowledge of FIFO and LIFO inventory methods.
• At least 2 years' FMCG warehouse experience.
• Understanding of warehousing and distribution processes.
• Experience with stock picking and receiving.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards in warehousing.
