If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love diving into numbers, and want to be part of a growing, tech-forward business — this is your moment.

As Senior Accountant, you’ll be the right hand to the CFO and a key player in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and innovation in finance processes. Your role will go beyond the basics – you’ll play a part in shaping how finance adds value across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports – including balance sheets, P&L, consolidations, and management accounts.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations and ensuring accuracy in GL maintenance.
  • Assisting with payroll processes and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Managing SARS submissions and registrations – including VAT, PAYE, UIF, and provisional tax.
  • Supporting audit readiness and coordinating audit preparation.
  • Driving finance control projects, helping to enhance internal controls, financial systems, and processes.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest financial legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing timely and insightful reports for management and board-level review
  • Jumping in on other finance-related tasks as needed — flexibility and initiative are key!

Requirements:

  • CA(SA) qualification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ post-article experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in SAGE accounting software.
  • Solid working knowledge of SARS processes (VAT, PAYE, UIF submissions and registrations).
  • Experience with payroll and CIPC submissions (bonus!).
  • Sharp analytical mindset with a love for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work independently, and collaborate with a wider team.
