Job Title

Field Service Engineer

Role Overview

Your role : Responsible for installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and supporting hardware and software solutions. This includes problem identification, system architecture definition/specification, implementation, basic integration, validation and verification testing, customer education, solution activation, and system restoration.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the technical resource for solution implementation, analyzing situations or data with in-depth product knowledge.
  2. Prepare site assessments and review system configurations for performance viability.
  3. Document work with as-built drawings and resolve complex customer issues independently.
  4. Provide remote and on-site technical support to installed customer base.
  5. Instruct customers on operation and maintenance of Philips solutions.
  6. Perform routine maintenance, technical modifications, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  7. Escalate configurations not aligned with technical standards.
  8. Suggest process and product improvements based on site experiences.
  9. Deliver customer projects with full understanding of solutions and independent judgment.
  10. Work independently with minimal instruction, leading customer engagements when appropriate.
  11. Collaborate with project managers, clinical consultants, and other stakeholders.
  12. Provide regular status updates to relevant teams and management.
  13. Assist in solution selling in collaboration with the Account Manager.
  14. Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues remotely and on-site, escalating when necessary.
  15. Communicate repair status effectively to customers and management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • College degree or equivalent in Clinical, Electrical, or Computing Systems Engineering; Biomedical Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with CT/MRI or Image Guided Therapy/Digital X-ray in a customer-facing role.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Windows and Office; basic networking skills.
  • Willing to attend overseas training and travel occasionally.
  • Availability for standby schedules.
  • Strong customer focus, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Team player with capacity for listening and effective communication.

Work Environment

We believe in working better together. Office-based teams work in-person at least 3 days a week. Onsite roles require full-time presence at facilities. Field roles are primarily outside the main facilities, at customer or supplier locations.
