About the job: Goods Receiving Supervisor (External Applications Only)
To receive/return stock to and from Suppliers and/or other Stores. Updating of the goods receiving vouchers onto the system and labelling of the stock. Ensure stock received is dispatched to the floor for merchandising.
Requirements
- Grade 12 plus 1 year related experience or minimum of 2 years related experience
- Ability to communicate in English and preferably the dominant language spoken in the geographical area
- Above average numeric skills
- Proven ability to provide exceptional Customer service
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Must be computer literate
- Must be able to work shifts and weekends
Key Performance Areas
Receive / IBT Stock
- Ensure always a second designated Cashbuild Employee is present during receiving and/or dispatching of stock
- Receive stock from Suppliers, correctly identify goods and balance physically to the Supplier's Invoice/Delivery Note and Cashbuild’s purchase order
- Complete proof of delivery note and hand to Supplier with required stamps
- Capture correctly on the IT system within prescribed time limits
- Amend, endorse, and sign off invoices with discrepancies with the Supplier’s representative and record truck registration number
- Process all inter-branch transfers (IBTs) within set timeframes, ensuring no discrepancies and proper documentation filing
Stock Distribution
- Clear stock received from the GRS office and merchandise within prescribed time limits
Stock Labelling and Pricing
- Label stock without SKU printed on packaging with the appropriate SKU
- Verify and correct printed SKUs
- Adhere to Cashbuild pricing policy
- Implement pending price changes as per the Cashbuild Way
Supplier Claims and Corrections
- Validate claims with supplier pickup slips or credit notes and obtain Store Manager approval
- Attach and authorize documentation for corrections
- Raise claims only for immediate stock collection
Security Awareness
- Never leave the receiving gate unattended when open
- Lock the receiving stamp and delivery book in a secure place
- Keep the GRS office door locked when not in use
- Ensure supplier trucks do not loiter around the Store
Ready for Business
- Maintain a clean and tidy GRS office
- Clear excess and damaged stock from the receiving area, except for stock to be returned
- Follow all 'Ready for Business' and 'beyond my control' processes
Customer Service
- Wear the Cashbuild dress code and display name badge at all times
- Assist with supplier queries
- Provide excellent customer service to all customers
Safety (OHSA) Requirements
- Limit access to the first aid box to authorized personnel and Store Manager
- Ensure safety compliance within your area
- Report concerns to the Store Manager
