Minimum requirements:
- Diploma / Certificate or equivalent (NQF 5)
- Up to 3 years of experience as a Business Representative or similar role within the Manufacturing environment
- Computer literacy (Basic MS Office; SAP, ERP Systems, Salesforce, and other relevant software)
Responsibilities:
- Support Sales and Marketing with sales, administration, stock control, and customer service to meet departmental targets.
- Identify and open new customer accounts based on viability.
- Monitor monthly sales per customer and analyze data from SAP to assess performance against targets, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Establish and maintain customer accounts; monitor sales and provide feedback to stakeholders.
- Develop marketing and promotional ideas; organize trade evenings and entertainment to promote products and strengthen customer relations.
- Manage customer relations, grow market share, and oversee credit/debit processes.
- Resolve queries professionally and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain company assets and adhere to controls and procedures to ensure operational integrity.
- Report risks and areas of concern to management; promote regulatory compliance.
- Provide monthly activity feedback to the Regional Manager.
- Assist in marketing strategy alignment and support route planning with warehouse staff.
- Coordinate promotional activities to expand customer base and market share.
- Assist with credit applications and debt collection, ensuring outstanding debts are under 45 days.
- Support vehicle and equipment maintenance per company policies.
- Participate in SBO meetings; monitor stock levels, forecasting, rotations, and replenishments.
- Collaborate with warehouse to ensure stock availability and assist in managing stock levels and mix.
- Maintain up-to-date customer information and foster effective relationships.
- Identify and resolve problems with integrity, supporting customer training and information updates.
- Monitor costs, pricing structures, and gross profit; implement action plans to optimize resources and reduce operational costs.
