Job description

Penta Consulting is a technology service provider and industry-leading outsourced partner. We have specialized in providing professional and managed services to OEMs, system integrators, and financial services providers globally, as well as IT and Telco companies, for over 26 years.

We are seeking a Service Designer to work on a hybrid basis in Johannesburg, South Africa. This is a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct user research to understand customer needs and behaviors.
2. Design end-to-end experience journeys that align with customer needs and business objectives.
3. Write user stories and acceptance criteria to guide product development.
4. Plan and execute user testing to validate design decisions.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet business and technical requirements.
6. Develop and maintain design documentation and systems.
7. Coach teams on service design practices.

Skills:

1. Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and design thinking.
2. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
4. Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
5. Experience with user research methods and analysis.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
