Job description

Fantastic opportunity within a boutique management company for an experienced and highly skilled executive candidate with a strong accounting acumen and experience in the Mauritius Financial Services industry and their FSC regulation. Ideal profile is someone who has international experience with offshore structuring, corporate administration and trust formation. Mauritius based, must have the ability to travel. Relocation and work permit support provided. Dynamic and professional team environment, and exciting career growth opportunities. You’ll be driving the business and heading up a small, focused team.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership, implement company vision, business plans, and operational strategies
  • Pilot business expansion, ensure sustainable growth and compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, regulators, and industry partners
  • Ensure compliance with FSC Mauritius regulations, AML/CFT laws, and all relevant financial services laws
  • Supervise corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities, ensure timely reporting and adherence to statutory obligations
  • Supervise financial management of the company, including budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
  • Ensure financial sustainability and profitability, maintain compliance with accounting and regulatory standards
  • Provide guidance on trust formation, company incorporation, and offshore structuring solutions
  • Ensure structures are compliant with local and international laws, including FATCA, CRS, and OECD guidelines
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient structures and international wealth management solutions
  • Guide and mentor, a high-performing team, foster a culture of excellence and professionalism
  • Implement efficient operational processes, ensure effective client service delivery
  • Drive digital transformation and innovation in management services

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Law
  • Qualified CA(SA), ACCA, ACA, CFA, or CPA qualification advantageous
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in financial services industry, with a preference for experience within in a management company
  • Previous experience in a leadership / executive or similar sought
  • Strong knowledge of FSC Mauritius regulations, trust formation, and offshore corporate structuring and experience managing global business companies, trusts, fund structures
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Mauritian financial services laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Exceptional financial acumen and expertise in accounting, auditing and tax planning
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, as you’ll be liaising with regulators, legal professionals, and international clients
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • High ethical standards, commitment to compliance and integrity
