Role Purpose

Partner with the designated business area to support, advise, and guide decision-making through financial analysis, data insights, and holistic finance solutions that enhance business performance.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting, or related field
  • Registered Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Desirable)
  • 3-5 years of financial management experience in an insurance environment
  • Knowledge of the insurance and investment industries

Duties and Responsibilities

Internal Process
  • Stay updated on trends, legislation, and best practices in financial management to optimize service delivery.
  • Develop partnerships with business leaders to understand their finance needs and gain business insights.
  • Collaborate to set financial objectives and develop models aligned with overall business strategy.
  • Assess financial implications of new initiatives and contribute to business case development ensuring financial soundness.
  • Manage financial information requests, providing meaningful analysis to support decision-making.
  • Analyze financial data, forecasts, and scenarios to support strategic planning.
  • Oversee delivery of financial analysis and reporting, including KPI measurement and interpretation.
  • Prepare management reports and recommend actions.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Support operational and strategic decisions with financial insights.
  • Manage operational financial activities effectively.
Client Services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop service level agreements to ensure clear communication and high-quality service.
