Role Purpose
Partner with the designated business area to support, advise, and guide decision-making through financial analysis, data insights, and holistic finance solutions that enhance business performance.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Management, Accounting, or related field
- Registered Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Desirable)
- 3-5 years of financial management experience in an insurance environment
- Knowledge of the insurance and investment industries
Duties and Responsibilities
Internal Process
- Stay updated on trends, legislation, and best practices in financial management to optimize service delivery.
- Develop partnerships with business leaders to understand their finance needs and gain business insights.
- Collaborate to set financial objectives and develop models aligned with overall business strategy.
- Assess financial implications of new initiatives and contribute to business case development ensuring financial soundness.
- Manage financial information requests, providing meaningful analysis to support decision-making.
- Analyze financial data, forecasts, and scenarios to support strategic planning.
- Oversee delivery of financial analysis and reporting, including KPI measurement and interpretation.
- Prepare management reports and recommend actions.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and system enhancements.
- Support operational and strategic decisions with financial insights.
- Manage operational financial activities effectively.
Client Services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop service level agreements to ensure clear communication and high-quality service.
