Job description

Our client based in Germiston is seeking a Technical Sales Representative – Concrete Admixture to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering sales revenue based on national, regional, and personal sales targets.

Summary of Responsibilities:
  1. Accountable for creating new and maintaining existing customer relationships within their area.
  2. Maximize market advantage through a focus on the reseller/distribution sector, aligning with end-user requirements and overall customer relationship management.
  3. Manage personal trade spend within the assigned sales region.
  4. Engage with customers across internal and external supply chains to promote and demonstrate product functionality and value.
  5. Provide expertise and advice on the advantages of the Mapei product range.
  6. Communicate value propositions effectively, both internally and externally.
  7. Train customers on existing and new products, including value-added propositions.
  8. Focus on creating sustainable recurring revenue from resellers and distributors.
  9. Build sustainable relationships to maximize market advantage.
  10. Create a pipeline to ensure product pull-through at customer sites.
  11. Meet overall forecast accuracy targets set by management.
  12. Follow through from quotation to order finalization.
  13. Achieve debt management objectives within the responsibility area.
  14. Articulate Mapei’s offerings, highlighting product advantages over competitors.
  15. Identify new opportunities for product offerings through trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, and market understanding.
  16. Analyze customer product mix to add value for both the customer and Mapei, aligning with company strategy.
  17. Adhere to reporting procedures and offer feedback as required.
  18. Maintain strict ethical standards and confidentiality.
  19. Manage product performance issues according to company guidelines.
  20. Report on market trends, competitor offerings, and new products monthly.
  21. Update CRM with visit reports, customer information, and market intelligence.
  22. Attend internal and external meetings as required.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years of sales experience in the relevant industry.
