A leading player in the renewable energy sector is looking for a Product Manager – Solar Finance to lead the growth of their financing solutions across the commercial and agricultural sectors. This strategic and execution-focused role combines product development, sales, and stakeholder engagement to deliver impactful clean energy finance offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage tailored solar finance products (loans, leases, PPAs) for commercial and agriculture markets.
Build financial models and business cases to ensure long-term product viability and profitability.
Negotiate with financial institutions and partners to structure scalable funding solutions.
Drive direct sales to installers, EPCs, and high-load end users (e.g., farms, manufacturers).
Lead go-to-market efforts, including marketing materials, sales training, and partner collateral.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure regulatory and risk compliance.
Form strategic partnerships with agricultural co-ops, suppliers, and industry bodies.
Develop customer-centric finance experiences for varied client profiles.
Qualification and Experience
3+ years’ experience in product development, finance, renewable energy, or agri-tech.
Demonstrated success in both product strategy and B2B sales.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Renewable Energy, Agriculture, or related.
Deep knowledge of renewable energy finance and credit risk standards.
Familiarity with agri and commercial energy systems and markets in Southern Africa.
Proficiency in financial modelling and stakeholder engagement.
