A leading player in the iGaming and bookmaking sector is on the hunt for a strategic and hands-on Financial Manager to drive financial performance and compliance across a fast-growing, highly regulated environment.

This is a key leadership role that demands sharp financial acumen, strong regulatory understanding, and a passion for performance optimisation in one of the most exciting industries around.

As Financial Manager, you’ll take the reins on all financial operations – from cash flow and compliance to forecasting and strategy. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining the financial health of the business while ensuring full compliance with South African gambling legislation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, lead, and implement financial strategies that support long-term growth and profitability.
• Ensure full compliance with all financial and gambling regulations, including the Gambling Act, FICA, and related tax legislation.
• Oversee all financial risk, including anti-money laundering (AML) procedures, fraud prevention, and operational risk controls.
• Lead financial planning cycles, including annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and performance tracking.
• Deliver accurate and timely financial reports in accordance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal use of financial resources.
• Work closely with auditors, regulators, investors, and executive leadership to align financial operations with business goals.
• Oversee financial controls, procurement practices, and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Drive the implementation of modern finance systems and digital tools to streamline reporting and increase financial visibility.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA(SA) or equivalent preferred).
• Extensive experience in financial management — ideally within the iGaming, bookmaking, or related regulated industries.
• In-depth understanding of South African financial regulations, including FICA, the Gambling Act, and AML compliance.
• Exceptional leadership ability with a proven track record of managing finance teams and delivering results.
• Strong financial reporting, planning, and risk management skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
