National Production Systems Controller - Brits, Hartebeespoort

Position: Permanent – Full time

Salary Package:

  • 240k excluding taxes and statutory contributions

Job Summary: We seek a qualified and competent Factory Systems Controller with an OHS background/experience. This role involves two main functions:

  1. Factory Systems Control: Implement, monitor, and control factory systems to optimize production and ensure ISO/minimum standards compliance.
  2. OHS Control: Implement and maintain a compliant OHS system, ensuring safety regulations and housekeeping standards across our three national factories.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and improve systems to monitor, control, and optimize production and quality.
  • Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
  • Maintain a compliant OHS system nationwide.
  • Manage the national production system and address production issues.
  • Conduct staff meetings to share best practices, production statistics, KPIs, and related functions.
  • Maintain compliance registers and conduct equipment inspections for safety and maintenance standards.
  • Monitor staff adherence to health and safety protocols and production procedures.
  • Handle health and safety inspections from the Department of Labour.
  • Manage injury reports and Workers’ Compensation communications.
  • Investigate workplace accidents to improve safety measures.
  • Analyze systems for trends and issues to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Evaluate factory performance to ensure goal achievement.
  • Collaborate with the Factory Manager to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Identify and review KPIs for factory management, ensuring proper implementation.

Educational Requirements:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma
  • Registered Health and Safety Officer/Representative
  • Valid health and safety certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years in Health and Safety
  • 5+ years in Factory Systems Control
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and advanced Excel skills

Skills and Attributes:
