Job description

As part of the Process Planning production team, the incumbent will be responsible for the introduction of new models and model year changes through Pre-series Build, ensuring that a vehicle is delivered consistently and according to the required KONZERN quality levels, meeting customer expectations throughout the product lifecycle.

Possible Tasks within this Role:

  1. Supporting launch team with facility functionality, dimensional milestones, Meisterbock acceptance, surface quality improvements, corrosion milestones, and supporting series Production and Quality in achieving quality targets (Dimensional targets / Functional / Stability / BIW audits / Final Vehicle audit / DRR / Flow-out). Conduct fitment trials, detect problems, and implement resolutions.
  2. Investigating build/audit-related problems through root cause analysis and establishing corrective actions.
  3. Assisting Process Engineer and CFT leader in designing and implementing new or modified facilities or gauges to enhance the building process.
  4. Providing feedback via written and visual presentations on corrective actions during Management Reviews.
  5. Managing problem sheets by raising, following up, and closing them.
  6. Ensuring stability of assemblies and coordinating non-conformities with relevant parties (Parts, Facilities, and Process).

Qualification requirements:

  • National N Diploma / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Qualified Toolmaker (Tool-, Jig-, and Die-maker).

Experience needed:

  • At least 3 years of technical experience in the automotive industry with extensive knowledge of vehicle production processes.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience with Jigs and Fixtures, or measuring experience in Jigs and Fixtures.
  • Familiarity with detailed technical and fixture drawings.
  • Proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to create detailed reports for departments and Senior Management.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written, presentations).
  • Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and standby as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Added Advantage:

  • Experience in CATIA, CAD, Hyper KVS.
