Our client, a national construction company specializing in medium to large-scale projects, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a solid background in the Civils field, and proven experience in cost estimates and plans, project auditing, and managing construction revenue for their operation in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Complete a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, with 7+ years of experience in Construction and Engineering projects, including at least 2-3 years in a senior role.
• Certification in CCS is essential; an assessment will be conducted.
• Proven experience in contract law, insurances, financial reporting (per site and project), SHEQ legislation and implementation, site staff management (including IR if needed), as well as managing construction methods, measuring outputs, project programming, and scheduling.
• Attention to detail, deadline-driven, autonomous working ability, and proven team management skills for Quantity Surveyors.
• Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills, with a keen eye for resolution.
• Flexibility to travel if needed, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills at all levels, leadership by example, and ability to deliver results under high pressure, meeting international standards.
