Technical Support Engineer (Energy Storage)

Job Description
Pre-sales Technical Support
  • Design technical solutions for energy storage systems, evaluate feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in technical discussions with clients and conduct product presentations.
  • Prepare proposals, tender documents, and technical materials to support bidding activities in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Adjust solutions based on customer requirements; conduct market and competitor research to support product planning.
Mid- / Post-sales Technical Support
  • Provide on-site commissioning guidance, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate repair processes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, respond promptly to technical requests, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Lead technical training for clients and internal teams, build a technical knowledge base, and optimize service standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D and delivery teams to improve product design based on field feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with South African regulations and industry standards for energy storage systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Power Systems, or related fields (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in technical support or service management in the energy storage or renewable energy sector.
  • Experience with local projects in South Africa is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of PV inverters, PCS, batteries, and energy storage systems.
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, for technical documentation and interaction.
  • Skilled in solution design, data analysis, and market research.
