Job description

MAIN PURPOSE
The main purpose of this position is to plan and manage project orders from inception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review project documents and requirements, including technical, commercial, and contractual aspects.
  2. Liaise directly with clients regarding electrical design requirements in conjunction with the engineering department.
  3. Manage invoicing milestones between the commercial department and clients.
  4. Ensure projects adhere to company terms, conditions, and contractual obligations.
  5. Control document registers and transmittal processes, including incoming and outgoing documents.
  6. Update and maintain MS Project schedules and customer progress reports in cooperation with the PPC team.
  7. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  8. Arrange logistics for projects, including third-party inspections and knowledge of Incoterms.
  9. Coordinate client Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and ensure requirements are met.
  10. Work with the QC team to ensure quality standards are achieved during testing.
  11. Oversee installation and commissioning on-site, supporting the site team.
  12. Attend site and customer meetings as required.
  13. Assist the proposals team with technical and commercial input for tenders.
  14. Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership, including technical and engineering solutions.
  15. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and ISO standards.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Matric with a relevant post-matric technical qualification (e.g., B.Eng Electrical, B.Tech, National Diploma).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical manufacturing and project management.
  • Computer literacy, including Windows, Outlook, MS Word, MS Projects, and MS Excel; SAP knowledge is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Information: Experience in the electrical manufacturing environment and customer service skills are preferred.
