  • Product category experience (Long term Insurance subcategory B1, B2, and Retail pension benefit)
  • CPD – Continuous Professional Development – All cycles

  • A valid driver’s license and your own car
  • A clear criminal and credit check
  • Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Knowledge and exposure to Group Schemes (advantageous)
  • (Internal) Successful completion of MODP (for previous Old Mutual employees)
  • (External) Managerial qualification (advantageous)
  • 2 years’ experience in the same role

This role manages and coordinates the organization’s sales function to meet business requirements. It involves managing a large team of advisors to develop, maintain, and leverage relationships with prospective and existing clients to stimulate and manage demand for financial products and services.

Responsibilities

Leadership and Direction

Identify and communicate actions needed to implement the function's strategy and business plan; motivate people to commit to these principles and achieve local business goals.

Customer Relationship Management / Account Management

Develop and implement relationship management plans for complex existing customer accounts, build relationships with decision-makers, and ensure needs are met through ongoing relationships.

Sell Customer Propositions

Configure solutions that meet customer needs, present solutions, negotiate agreements, and review sales proposals.

Sales Opportunities Creation

Develop a network within the sector, represent the organization, and enhance visibility and reputation.

Performance Management

Manage and report on team performance, set objectives, and take corrective actions.

Operations Management

Oversee operational areas, including development or delivery.

Promoting Customer Focus

Develop marketing plans and collaborate to improve relationships.

Key Account Management

Manage important customer relationships, supporting account teams.

Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting

Implement plans to build relationships with potential customers.

Budgeting

Develop and deliver budget plans.

Organizational Capability Building

Identify development needs, plan actions, and provide training/coaching.
