Job Opportunity: Experienced Accountant

An industry leader in the lightning protection and earthing industry, based in the Gauteng Province within the Boksburg area, is seeking to recruit an experienced and skilled accountant.

Experience

The successful candidate must possess at least five years of experience performing accounting functions and responsibilities, including working collaboratively with team members to achieve company objectives and targets.

Formal Qualifications
  • Matric or equivalent NQF level of education
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial Accounting (advantageous)
  • Valid driving license (Code 08)
Responsibilities
  • Manage profit and loss accounts, income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities
  • Maintain an asset register
  • Handle account administration tasks such as receivables, invoicing, and payment allocations
  • Monthly budget planning and reporting
  • Compile management reports, trial balances, and balance sheets
  • Analyze financial statements and management reports
  • Manage stock control, processing orders and stock movements
  • Monitor supplier POs versus stock levels
  • Oversee payroll system, cash forecasts, and cash flow management
  • Liaise with SARS and handle tax and VAT calculations, including PAYE
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with monthly financial consolidations and year-end audits
  • Prepare operational reports and feedback for stakeholders
  • Perform general administrative duties
