Job description

A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating renovation projects.

What will I be doing?

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, including daily maintenance checks and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Assistant Chief Engineer will coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Addressing maintenance issues within the hotel
  • Performing daily checks around the hotel
  • Conducting lift emergency release procedures as required
  • Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment
  • Building good relationships with internal and external customers
  • Maintaining hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure safety and taking action on unsafe conditions
  • Developing, implementing, and directing emergency programs
  • Managing energy conservation programs to minimize expenses
  • Coordinating renovation bidding, defining project scope and costs, and overseeing contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Performing special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Ensuring the health and safety of the hotel
  • Conducting monthly safety inspections and employee safety training
