Job description

Applications are invited for the Contractor Coordinator - Networks position to be based in Nelspruit.

Purpose of the Role:

The Contractor Coordinator – Networks (CCN) will lead and manage the operational teams of the Contractor in a specifically assigned area, ensuring high-quality field work on infrastructure and customer premises.

The Contract Coordinator - Networks will collaborate with other CCNs and Area Managers under the oversight of the Networks Manager to achieve regional goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Area: Responsible for the physical network infrastructure in the assigned area, ensuring correct deployment, health, maintenance, and support activities at customer premises.
• Be the custodian of the network from the POP to the customer's internal network, ensuring Contractor adherence to standards.
• Manage the Customer's experience on our network in collaboration with the Area Manager.

Management:

• Translate Business and Tactical Goals into Operational plans.
• Develop monthly standardized operational plans.
• Participate in Level-2 Value Chain MOS collaboration to identify and solve flow problems.
• Manage the Contractor by ensuring daily execution plans, resource availability, and activity clarity.
• Measure activity execution via KPIs and QC protocols.
• Implement feedback loops for daily problem-solving and improvement.
• Report on KPIs, metrics, and statistics.
• Uphold partnership agreements with customer and supplier teams.
• Coach and train Contractor teams for effective execution.
• Facilitate daily Level-1 MOS meetings, addressing triggers promptly.

Leadership:

• Receive tactical leadership from Network & Commercial Managers.
• Get functional guidance from the Network Manager.
• Lead and coach Contractors to improve and align with company values.
• Ensure alignment with other functions and regions.

Key Outputs:

• Develop operational and daily plans aligned with the value chain.
• Ensure resource availability for Contractors.
• Manage, train, and coach Contractors for efficiency.
• Prioritize activities and analyze data for decision-making.
• Lead MOS collaboration as per national schedules.
• Report on Contractor performance and issues addressed.
• Achieve network goals within your responsibility.

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a telecom technical environment.

Skills and Competencies: In-depth understanding of Herotel's infrastructure, leadership, conflict resolution, communication skills, stress management, planning, organizing, decision-making, resilience, knowledge transfer, and valid driver's license with travel readiness.

Education:

Grade 12; Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant field is advantageous.
