Job description

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Work from the ground to clear work areas of debris using handsaws, pole saws, pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment to cut brush and trees.
• Define staging areas.
• Set up and break down materials, tools, and equipment as required.
• Prepare and feed brush into woodchipper.
• Load and unload trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris.
• Operate various trucks and equipment as assigned.
• Perform basic maintenance on trucks and equipment; report major repairs.
• Tie knots, rope breaks, and speed lines according to industry standards.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.
• Flag traffic to prevent potential harm or injury.
• Work long hours and overtime during emergencies.

Position Details

This is a full-time position with specific hours assigned by your supervisor.

Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in electric utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical, or military industries preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.

Additional Requirements

Must pass a background check and drug screening.
