Site Engineer Position

Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Site Engineer to be placed in Venetia, Limpopo.

The successful candidate will report to the Chief Engineer.

The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position.

Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead, motivate, coach and develop subordinates to achieve production and safety targets.
2. Manage all TMM and construction work at the designated area within project engineering key performance areas, including project scope, scheduling, budget, planning, and procurement.
3. Ensure quality control of products and equipment supplied to sites.
4. Set standards, implement procedures, and monitor compliance.
5. Manage multiple installations effectively.
6. Engage with stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows.
7. Maintain plant and equipment to industry benchmarks of cost-effectiveness, availability, and reliability.
8. Implement and operate the planned maintenance management system.
9. Oversee routine construction of infrastructure supporting TMM mining.
10. Ensure team and self-compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and safety protocols.
11. Manage risks proactively in line with legal responsibilities.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• BSc, BTech, or National Higher Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• DMR Government Certificate of Competency to practice as an Engineer (GCC Mines and Works - Mechanical or Electrical).
• Project Management qualification (advantageous).
• ECSA registration (advantageous).
• Proficient in MS Office, including MS Projects.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Medically fit to work underground.

• Experience in predictive maintenance analysis and failure/trend analysis.
• Experience working within project allowables.
