Role Overview

The Administrator : Accounts Payable is responsible for ensuring successful delivery within a changing environment characterized by diverse tax, financial, regulatory, and governance challenges.

This role involves:

  1. Managing the diversifying telco-to-tech landscape.
  2. Navigating local economic, regulatory, and legal challenges and evolving industry ecosystems.
  3. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with potentially competing interests.

  6. Operating across multiple geographies and cultural contexts.
  7. Enhancing MTN's reputation as a secure, reliable, and safe network provider at OpCo level.

Key Responsibilities

The Administrator : Accounts Payable aims to achieve objectives in several areas:

Operational Delivery
  • Payments and Invoice Processing: Capture and validate invoices, resolve queries, ensure timely payments, and manage related documentation and reconciliation.
  • Travel Expense Administration: Manage foreign travel claims, ensure policy adherence, reconcile accounts, and handle audit queries.
  • Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement: Optimize procedures, recommend automation, and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Quality Management and Reporting: Monitor financial statements, ensure compliance, and seek continuous quality improvements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Creditors, Accounts, and Finance, with knowledge of General Ledger and Foreign Exchange.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in cross-organizational communication.
  • Understanding of VAT principles related to invoices and claims.
