Be the change-maker behind South Africa's nature-based finance strategy. This is a high-impact, strategic opportunity within a national conservation organisation dedicated to preserving our heritage through innovative financial models.

?? What You'll Do:

  • Design innovative environmental financing solutions (carbon credits, PES, impact bonds)
  • Lead sustainable tourism funding initiatives (e.g., local offset programs)
  • Explore and manage endowment and conservation trust fund models
  • Collaborate with global donors, policy think-tanks, and local communities
  • Support sustainability reporting and procurement strategies

? Ask Yourself:

  • Do I have at least 5 years' experience in environmental finance or resource economics?
  • Have I developed or managed funding solutions like carbon trading or PES?
  • Can I design sustainability finance models aligned to national tourism or conservation goals?

? Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in environmental economics, business management, or environmental science
  • 5+ years' experience in sustainable finance / climate change mitigation / biodiversity markets
  • Deep knowledge of conservation and tourism policy
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement ability
