Job description

Rand Water’s Graduate Development Programme is a structured, sector-aligned initiative aimed at developing the next generation of professionals for sustainable water management. The programme provides immersive training in a dynamic environment, focusing on industry-relevant skills aligned with Occupationally Directed Education, Training, and Development Practices (ODETDP).

Graduates will receive training and mentorship in the following focus areas:

• Freshwater Aquatic Sciences
• Water Technology
• Wastewater Technology
• Digital Technology and Innovation

The programme includes hands-on training, fieldwork, laboratory work, digital tools application, and applied research. Its goal is to empower participants to contribute meaningfully to the water sector. Ultimately, the programme aims to develop graduates capable of leading key technical streams within the Rand Water Academy Technical School, supporting the Academy’s strategic focus on technical leadership and innovation.
