Senior HR Manager / HR Business Partner – Sandton, Johannesburg.

A well-established and expanding medium-sized car dealership is seeking a dynamicHR Business Partner or Senior HR Managerto spearhead its human resources function.

This newly created role is ideal for a confident and strategic HR professional eager to make a tangible impact during a period of business growth and transformation.

With multiple new dealership locations on the horizon, the successful candidate will be instrumental in embedding structure, driving forward-thinking HR initiatives, and partnering closely with senior leadership to ensure the organisation is well-prepared for scalable success.

Salary: R50 000 to R60 000 per month CTC.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant HR or Business qualification (degree/diploma preferred)
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Manager (5+ years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and South African employment legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement HR strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Solid experience managing organisational change and culture development
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence in partnering with senior leadership and operational teams
  • Assertive leadership style with a proactive mindset
  • Retail sector experience (preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic HR roadmap to support ongoing business growth and expansion
  • Lead all core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance
  • Partner with leadership to drive culture initiatives, employee engagement, and retention strategies
  • Establish and implement HR policies and frameworks to enhance business scalability
  • Oversee organisational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on all HR matters
  • Ensure full compliance with labour laws and employment standards
  • Lead learning and development programs to build skills and leadership capability across the business
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and implement improvements
  • Champion diversity, equity, wellness, and transformation initiatives in line with business goals
