Summary




Based in New York, the incumbent assists with CLE accreditation of Sidley's programs and our lawyers' compliance with relevant state requirements. The CLE Assistant will help maintain records, reports, and files to ensure Sidley remains in good standing with CLE regulators in all jurisdictions. The Assistant will work closely with the CLE Manager and with other Lawyer Training & Professional Development team members in all offices to ensure that Firm-produced programs meet applicable CLE requirements in order to obtain the maximum available credit for all formats: live in-person, webcast, teleconference, videoconference, etc. The CLE Assistant will also support lawyer training and professional development initiatives as needed.






Duties and Responsibilities




    Provide programmatic and CLE accreditation support for Sidley-produced lawyer training programs
  • Provide initial review of course materials and other program documentation submitted for internal CLE accreditation; answer lawyer inquiries
  • Prepare program attendance and evaluation forms
  • Support and maintain CLE program files and update related calendars and spreadsheets
  • Process attendance forms and issue CLE certificates for internal and client CLE programs
  • Support attendance tracking
  • Enter data from external CLE certificates into Sidley's CLE tracking system (Micron CE Manager)
  • Complete and submit individual program applications for CLE credit to state regulators in relevant jurisdictions
  • Coordinate submission of CLE programs to relevant CLE Boards for approval
  • Keep abreast of CLE regulations in the various jurisdictions in which Sidley lawyers are licensed
  • Assist the Lawyer Development team with special projects and initiatives as needed
  • Other duties, as assigned

Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. If an estimated salary range for this role is available, it will be provided in our Target Salary Range section. Target Salary Range




$66,271 - $77,200 if located in New York

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Familiarity or experience with CLE rules and requirements and with Micron CE Manager
  • Law firm experience
