Job Title: Regional Sales Engineer

This position is a fully remote / field-based opening.

You need to live in the assigned area, preferably around the Mpumalanga, Mbombela, eMalahleni, Standerton, eMkhondo, Malalane, Ermelo, Barberton, or Sabie region.

Role Overview

As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will lead strategic sales targeting large industrial and municipal accounts within your geographic territory. This highly autonomous role requires strategic planning, business acumen, and a focus on customer satisfaction, presenting Hach's solutions across our product portfolio, including instrumentation, reagents, and integrated solutions.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute sales territory and account plans to meet targets, utilizing SFDC for reporting.
  2. Drive growth using Hach tools and systems.
  3. Prepare monthly forecasts and manage sales opportunities.
  4. Visit at least 10 clients weekly to implement strategies and solve problems.
  5. Build a network of customer and industry contacts to position Hach as a key player in water management.
  6. Understand and communicate the Hach portfolio, including quoting and sales activities.
  7. Work across various applications such as WWTW, DW, Power, Oil & Gas, F&B.
Minimum Requirements
  1. At least 5 years of experience in analytical instrumentation sales or similar.
  2. Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  3. Excellent English communication skills.
  4. Ability to work across cultures and locations.
  5. Willingness to travel and stay overnight as needed.
  6. Own vehicle with a Code B license.
