Your Purpose

The purpose of this role is to inspire people to live active lives and to ensure that individual and club sales goals are achieved monthly by promoting and marketing Virgin Active as the preferred choice in the fitness industry.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan each day and month in advance to generate new leads, book appointments, and present to customers with the goal of making sales and exceeding sales targets.
  • Record activity inputs using Virgin Active's tools and systems, adhering to timelines and procedures.
  • Follow Virgin Active's sales processes and systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VASA products and competitors’ offerings.
  • Expand the customer base and strengthen loyalty through service calls, referrals, and network development.
  • Understand prospective members' interests and needs, building rapport and matching products accordingly.
  • Close sales by overcoming objections, with support from the Sales Manager and/or Regional Sales Coach.
  • Report and analyze sales activities and data to plan future strategies.
  • Participate in sales meetings, sharing best practices and ideas.
  • Activate local marketing opportunities, including attending and organizing promotions, health days, and community events as a Virgin Active ambassador.
Minimum Requirements

  • Matric qualification (essential)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (preferred, e.g., Sales and Marketing)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales
  • Strong promotion and sales skills
  • Proven sales performance
  • Ability to plan daily activities for results
  • Excellent rapport-building skills
  • Effective communication and listening skills
