Role Purpose / Business Unit
This role supports the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) Prepaid team by preparing advanced decision-making models, tools, and analytics to aid product implementations and improve commercial and financial performance across all Prepaid business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Analytical Support:
- Collect, integrate, and store raw data from various sources into the Teradata platform, collaborating with Big Data teams.
- Create automated and optimized tables in Teradata for daily and monthly reporting.
- Build and automate budget models and reporting processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, models, and systems, adding value to the team.
- Develop analytical solutions that meet stakeholder needs through insights.
- Support business continuity by upskilling team members and creating centralized data repositories.
- Build financial models and analyze customer trends and behavior.
- Discover patterns in large datasets using methods from machine learning, statistics, and econometrics.
- Identify key trends and predict potential risk impacts.
- Determine causal impacts and attributions.
- Analyze proofs of concept and market tests, including post-implementation reviews.
- Model and forecast future performance of users and products.
- Use intelligent data extraction methods to quantify financial impacts.
- Perform sensitivity analyses and stress testing on models.
- Driving Business Impact:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance gaps and solve problems systematically.
- Create presentations that tell a story with insights and recommended actions.
- Translate data and methodology into actionable strategies and communicate findings effectively to teams and management.
- Month-End Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer data related to Prepaid P&L movements and financial impacts.
- Proactively identify risks affecting performance.
- Review provisions and movements on loyalty and deferrals at segment and customer levels.
- Resolve ad-hoc queries in support of month-end reporting.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Assess the performance of campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Support planning cycles and long-range financial modeling.
- Provide financial reporting, planning, and analysis support to the executive team and finance department.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Deliver high-quality reports and financial plans to meet targets.
- Engage stakeholders for input into budgets and forecasts, including scenario modeling.
Ideal Candidate
- BSc in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in data analytics and financial modeling.
- Understanding of macroeconomic environments.
- Business leadership and transformation skills.
- Adaptability, relationship management, and commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical, communication, and influencing skills.
- Resilience, ownership, attention to detail, and deadline orientation.
- Financial analysis, report writing, narrative building, and business planning skills.
- Problem-solving and experience with large datasets and predictive modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in statistical tools like SAS, R, SQL, and advanced MS Office skills.
