Requirements
  • CA (or equivalent) with an Accounting degree (CA) or BCom / bookkeeping qualification
  • 5-10 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (essential) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
  • Experienced with Syspro accounting software
  • Excellent time management skills and deadline-driven work ethic
Responsibilities
  1. Management Accounts: Review Management Accounts, including supporting schedules.
  2. Balance Sheet Items and Reconciliations: Review balance sheet items and reconciliations.
  3. Fixed Asset Register: Review of the Fixed Asset Register.
  4. Audit File Preparation: Review prepared audit files.
  5. Budgeting: Review prepared budgets for all entities in the group.
  6. Statutory SARS Submissions: Review VAT, EMP, and SARS enquiries.
  7. Provisional Tax Calculations: Prepare provisional tax calculations for all companies in the group.
  8. Employment Equity / Social and Ethics Companies Act Requirements: Prepare EE plans, review previous plans, and report. Arrange and lead EE committee meetings. Ensure compliance with the Companies Act in terms of social and ethical requirements.
  9. Rebates and Advertising: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual rebate and advertising calculations.
  10. Sales Reports: Update sales reports and manage the Sales Report Server (DevExpress).
  11. Data Analysis: Extract data from the SQL database, analyze, and report to the Financial Director. Data extraction can be done using Excel, Power BI, or both.
  12. Operations: Work closely with the Financial Director regarding daily operations and requirements.

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
