Head of Development - Cape Town

Location: Tyger Valley Chambers 2, Cape Town, South Africa

Job Description: As Head of Development, you will oversee project implementation from bid award to Notice To Proceed (NTP), coordinate multidisciplinary teams, supervise closing activities, manage project indicators, and report to senior management. You will also supervise local development activities, ensure stakeholder engagement, integrate HSE considerations, and lead finance teams in South Africa.

Context and Environment: In a changing energy sector, TotalEnergies aims to expand its renewable energy capacity significantly, targeting 35 GW by 2025 and 100 GW by 2030. The focus is on developing large solar power plants and storage projects in a competitive market.

Candidate Profile: Candidates should have an engineering degree, over 10 years of experience in renewable energy project management, knowledge of the South African electricity market, strong interpersonal and management skills, and fluency in English. Frequent travel within South Africa is expected.
