Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Manager with a strong background in warehousing or supply chain management.

This role involves leading HR initiatives to support warehousing and supply chain operations, ensuring a skilled workforce, compliance with regulations, and continuous HR practice improvement. The ideal candidate will understand operational needs in these environments and play a key role in recruiting, developing, and retaining talent.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. HR Strategy & Workforce Planning:
  2. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, focusing on warehousing and supply chain operations.
  3. Collaborate with senior management to identify staffing needs and plan for future workforce requirements.
  4. Maintain workforce planning processes to meet operational demands.
  1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  2. Oversee recruitment for warehousing and supply chain roles, ensuring effective hiring processes.
  3. Create job descriptions, post openings, and manage candidate pipelines.
  4. Partner with operations managers to understand role requirements and attract qualified candidates.
  1. Employee Development & Training:
  2. Design training programs for warehousing and supply chain teams, focusing on operational procedures, safety, and compliance.
  3. Identify skill gaps and provide development opportunities, including leadership training.
  4. Support career advancement initiatives.
  1. Employee Relations & Engagement:
  2. Serve as the primary contact for employee relations issues, fostering a positive work environment.
  3. Promote open communication, respect, and teamwork.
  4. Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance retention and satisfaction.
  1. Health & Safety Compliance:
  2. Work with operations to ensure HR policies comply with health and safety regulations.
  3. Ensure employee adherence to safety standards and assist in incident investigations.
  1. Performance Management & Compensation:
  2. Develop performance management systems with clear expectations and regular reviews.
  3. Guide management on compensation and benefits to motivate employees.
  4. Manage employee recognition programs.
  1. Compliance & Policy Management:
  2. Ensure adherence to labor laws and industry regulations specific to warehousing and logistics.
  3. Maintain HR policies and handle employee records confidentially.
  1. HR Reporting & Data Analysis:
  2. Track HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, and engagement.
  3. Analyze data to provide insights and support management decisions.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' HR management experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain sectors.
  • Proven recruitment, employee relations, and performance management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, safety regulations, and labor laws.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills to manage relationships across organizational levels.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, recruitment software, and MS Office.
