Job Title: Mechanic

Location: Selby, Johannesburg

Salary Range:

1. Junior Mechanic (0-2 years of experience): R8,000 - R12,000 per month.
2. Experienced Mechanic (2-5 years of experience): R12,000 - R20,000 per month.
3. Senior Mechanic (5+ years of experience): R20,000 - R30,000 per month.

Job Summary: Diagnose and repair faults in vehicles, ensuring they are roadworthy and meet safety standards. Our client in the Renewable Industry sector is seeking a talented and experienced Mechanic.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diagnosis: Diagnose faults in vehicles using specialized equipment and technical knowledge.
2. Repairs: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including replacing parts, tuning engines, and repairing electrical systems.
3. Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
4. Inspections: Conduct safety inspections to ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards.
5. Documentation: Complete documentation, including repair orders, invoices, and maintenance records.
6. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, explaining repairs and maintenance requirements to vehicle owners.

Requirements:

1. Qualifications: Relevant technical qualification, such as a National Certificate in Motor Industry Repair and Maintenance.
2. Experience: 2+ years of experience as a mechanic.
3. Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics, electrical systems, and safety procedures.
4. Skills: Proficient in using specialized equipment, such as diagnostic scanners and air compressors.
5. Physical Ability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and stand for long periods.
6. Travel: Must be in possession of a Valid Passport and be prepared to travel to Germany for further training in line with the project.

Working Conditions:

1. Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
2. Safety Equipment: Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and a face mask.
