We are currently seeking an Events Coordinator to drive sales and develop banqueting and events products, supporting the Events Team in achieving operational goals.
Location: KNYSNA | Onsite | Permanent | R15 500 - R20 500
Duties and Responsibilities
Product Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of all operational assets, venues, and properties to ensure effective sales and event planning.
- Customer Service principles, including needs assessment, quality standards, and satisfaction evaluation.
- Media production, communication, and dissemination techniques.
- Transportation principles for moving people or goods via air, rail, sea, or road.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures related to event contracts, booking terms, commission, special offers, quotations, invoicing, and payments.
Sales and Marketing
- Development and delivery of event concepts, including launching new packages and opening key accounts.
- Monitoring and increasing sales across facilities.
- Marketing strategies, product promotion, sales techniques, and control systems.
- Overseeing branding activities and providing sales and marketing reports.
Coordination
- Managing bookings for all event venues and special occasions.
- Ensuring client requirements are met and venues are maximized for occupancy and sales.
Operations
- Managing relationships with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Researching equipment, health, fire regulations, and industry trends.
- Coordinating event details to client satisfaction and managing operational shifts as needed.
Guest Relations
- Providing excellent guest service, resolving complaints, and minimizing costs.
Staff Management
- Managing staff involved in event setup and operation, adapting to evolving policies and procedures.
