Job Purpose

As a Pharmacy Sales Assistant at Medirite Plus in Roodepoort, you will ensure smooth in-store retail operations by assisting customers, managing stock, and maintaining a well-organized sales floor.

This permanent role, with an estimated salary of R5,000 per month, focuses on delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy's daily functions under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process customer payments using the store's Point of Sale (POS) system and reconcile sales and receipts according to company procedures.
2. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to advise and recommend healthcare products.
3. Stay informed about promotions and special offers to enhance customer experience.
4. Restock items and organize the sales floor following standard operating procedures.
5. Conduct regular price audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
6. Maintain visual merchandising standards to create an appealing shopping environment.
7. Ensure proper housekeeping to keep the pharmacy clean and safe.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate (essential).
• Computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems.
• Bilingual, preferably fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Engaging and friendly personality with exceptional customer service skills.
• Knowledge of payment procedures (cash, cheque, bank card, credit cards, coupons, vouchers).
• Understanding of stock-receiving procedures and merchandising standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
