Job Purpose

The Talent Acquisition & Retention Lead oversees the entire talent management and Learning & Development value chain within the SAREG region. This role is crucial in establishing talent pipelines, promoting high performance, and ensuring effective training programs to drive organizational success.

Job Function
  1. High Potential Management and Leadership Development: Identify and develop high-potential talent through coaching and training.
  2. Strategic Talent and Development Initiatives: Design and implement organizational strategies aligned with AGL's goals.
  3. Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture emphasizing performance and commitment.
  4. Leadership Development Implementation: Drive leadership initiatives, career paths, and competency definitions.
  5. Full Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage talent initiatives from induction to career development.
  6. Attractive Employee Value Proposition: Develop strategies to retain and satisfy employees.
  7. Talent Pipeline Management: Build proactive talent pipelines for resourcing and succession planning.
  8. Induction and Orientation Programs: Ensure effective onboarding processes.
  9. Innovative Learning and Development Policies: Establish and monitor development programs.
  10. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy: Promote an inclusive workplace culture.
  11. Self-Learning Culture: Encourage continuous development using modern learning platforms.
  12. External Partnerships Management: Manage relationships with educational institutions, job boards, and recruitment agencies.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 6 years in HR, with at least 3 years in talent acquisition and assessment. Proven ability in talent pipeline management, performance management, and leadership development. Excellent coaching, project management, vendor management, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. Adaptable and resilient in dynamic environments.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Demonstrated success as a Talent Acquisition Manager or similar role, with a strong understanding of recruitment strategies and industry best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in applicant tracking systems, and knowledge of labor laws.
