Job description

Requirements :

  • Grade 12, MBChB qualification, and registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner. Proof of current registration is required.
  • Medical Officer Grade 1: no experience; Grade 2: 5 years’ experience; Grade 3: 10 years’ experience.

Duties :

  • Provide clinical services in the Orthopaedic department, including after-hours work on weekdays and weekends.
  • Manage and care for Orthopaedic patients under supervision of a consultant.
  • Teach undergraduate students.
  • Complete a research project as required by the HPCSA for registration.

Notes :

  • Positions are joint appointments between the Gauteng Department of Health and academic institutions (University of Witwatersrand, University of Pretoria, Sefako Makgatho University).
  • No payment is required to apply. The Department reserves the right not to fill any position.
