A leading company is seeking a Resource Planner to deliver people deployment solutions and support stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. This role involves analyzing data, improving processes, and building strong relationships across teams. As a Resource Planner you’ll deliver people deployment solutions, often in fast paced and challenging environment. You’ll support stakeholders by using your continuous improvement mindset, business acumen and Management Information (MI) to inform and influence decisions. Ultimately, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities of role:
Resource Management:
Assist in planning and overseeing the allocation of Client Service Staff (CSS) to ensure; alignment with the firm's strategic priorities, achievement of business metrics, and resolving unassigned clients and reallocations for new CSS joiners/leavers.
Support continuous planning and scheduling to meet firm utilisation targets, with a primary focus on staff leverage and peak season needs/available staff allocation.
Monitor ACI vs. Non ACI statistics (during the planning process and otherwise).
Help with key initiatives or projects for the better planning of staff.
Upload Resource Planning System (currently TalentLink) with non-chargeable events such as training, tutoring, study leave, academies, SAICA, quality reviews, coaching, business development, internal projects, statutory holidays, firmwide closure days, admin specific to the division.
Data Analysis and Decision Making:
Provide support in analysing productivity reports and business needs to support resource managers to develop actionable plans for workload balancing and utilisation improvements.
Support business in producing Management Information (MI) to help identify trends, make connections and spot opportunities to improve profitability and people engagement.
Communication Skills & Relationships:
Collaborate and team with Resource Management professionals to; share best practices, continuously improve processes, facilitate staff imports/exports (including stock counts) and secondments, and participate in team initiatives that drive operational improvement.
Conflict Resolution & Decision Making:
Assist in anticipating, mitigating (where possible) and resolving conflicts.
CSS Interaction:
Build strong relationships with staff at all levels, through daily liaisons; to establish oneself as a trusted advisor while also promoting and focusing on resource sharing across industry/regional counterparts.
Assist with admin and reporting related to portfolio reviews for client facing staff to help ensure maximum utilisation, development and fair allocation of work for everyone.
Resource Management Technology:
Develop expertise in Resource Management technology, particularly TalentLink Staffing & Deployment, to support assignment planning, allocations, and deliver training on all TalentLink modules to staff as needed.
Admin:
Manage resignation protocols, including completion of the termination database, ensuring that all time/expenses have been captured and leave reconciliations for resigned staff.
Collaborate with the Payroll department to reconcile leave balances between Oracle and the payroll system, ensuring that variances are rectified.
Prepare various reports for the business as needed, including utilisation/hours reports for appraisal processes, budget forecasts, and trainee/new joiners processes etc.
Skill sets required:
• A basic understanding of Resource Management and its link to the business strategy
• Familiarity in data analysis and interpreting findings to make recommendations on actions.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and verbal) negotiate and influence; consult with others, build relationships, facilitate group discussions, and execute on change management activities
• Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment with minimal oversight all while being a collaborative team player
• Problem-solving skills, with an understanding of the business impacts of resourcing decisions
• Willingness to assist in addressing and de-escalating concerns, maintaining professionalism in all interactions
• Ability to be agile under tight deadlines, while effectively managing multiple deadlines, conflicting priorities, and projects
• Proven ability to set priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail, while proactively using initiative to achieve results
• Some skill at executing change management and engaging with partners and staff at all levels
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Experience using TalentLlink, Oracle, WIP and MS Office Suite (specifically Excel) an advantage
