Job Responsibilities
- Ensure cost-effective inventory management of all goods.
- Monitor depot coverage daily and coordinate with Planning.
- Report stock outs to relevant teams.
- Plan storage locations in liaison with the Warehouse Manager (ABC Analysis).
- Create inventory documents for cycle counts and stock audits.
- Conduct floor walks for inventory housekeeping.
- Minimize write-offs and losses.
- Maintain stock availability and rotation.
- Provide high levels of customer service (internal and external).
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently.
- Manage stock movements and documentation per audit controls.
- Maintain stock loss control procedures.
- Ensure stacking heights are maintained.
- Conduct routine risk and quality audits.
- Perform quality control inspections and display guidelines.
- Manage shelf-life tracking and communicate short-dated stock issues.
- Apply FIFO principle in stock movements.
- Adhere to stock age and product recall policies.
- Isolate non-conforming stock in SAP.
- Implement internal control measures (ICC, ISO, Operations Excellence).
- Conduct stock counts and prepare for audits.
- Process stock adjustments and perform stock takes in SAP.
- Investigate variances and generate reports.
- Manage stock write-offs, variances, and aging reports.
- Ensure proper processing of goods issues and reconcile production bookings.
- Achieve daily load plans and follow up on shipments.
- Manage inter-depot movements and claims.
- Report on product damages and conduct surveys.
- Investigate shortages and overages, and charge accordingly.
- Ensure correct posting of stock transactions.
- Provide trend analysis and variance commentary.
- Highlight risks related to losses from damage, theft, and write-offs.
- Manage forklift drivers and shift performance.
- Control operational costs and asset utilization.
- Communicate company values and strategic goals to employees.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- NQF 6 qualification in Logistics or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment
- Basic knowledge of Warehouse/Production environment
- Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP)
