Job description

• Set up and manufacture items based on information detailed in engineering drawings in accordance with set times.
• Need to read and understand engineering drawings
• Machine of parts at high tolerances and assembling of machines.
• Measure and inspect own work to ensure that it meets the specifications detailed on the drawings.
• Accountable for housekeeping in area around machine
• Accountable for own safety, safety of machine and the work environment
• Do basic maintenance on machine.
• Perform daily safety inspections on machine(s)
• Suggest and make improvements on quality, efficiency and safety aspects of the job
• Assist in the training of new incumbents/multitasking the workshop
• Accountable for contributing to building a high performance, high morale engineering team
• Assist management with daily workshop related tasks
• Work Overtime when required at short notice.
• Assist with standby and call outs when required
• Own transport
