Divisional Financial Manager

Reference: Pta-VLR-1

We are looking for a Divisional Financial Manager in the Randburg area who will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate delivery of management accounts, statutory compliance items, and payroll matters.

The Divisional FM will manage employees effectively to ensure deadlines are met and standards are maintained.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: CA(SA) or fully qualified CIMA; 2+ years post-article experience.
  2. Experience: Payroll background with understanding of payroll processes; relevant experience in managing a team; excellent interpersonal skills; strong business partnering skills to improve operational links; inquisitive with attention to detail.
Areas of Responsibility:
  • Business Management: Ensure tax and statutory compliance; prepare and submit VAT and employee taxes; resolve SARS/tax queries; manage accounts receivable and invoicing; oversee overdue collections; manage payover processes; review and reconcile payover schedules; ensure accurate invoicing and fee calculations; submit accruals; manage trust bank accounts and reconciliations; oversee audits; draft financial statements according to IFRS; prepare management accounts; manage payroll accuracy and submissions; oversee CIPC updates and employment equity submissions; manage audit requirements; oversee fixed assets, facility management, and Sage ESS system.
  • People Management: Lead the team, represent the department externally, promote continuous learning, and foster departmental innovation.
  • Client Management & Reporting: Maintain professional client interactions; build cross-functional relationships; ensure accurate and timely reporting; ensure compliance with tax and CIPC regulations.
  • Leadership: Ensure reliable communication of information; inspire a customer-centric team aligned with company vision and mission.
