My client is looking for a Motor Bike Driver with previous experience in motorcycle driving.
POSITION INFO :
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain good client relationships.
- Maintain safety, health, and environmental compliance.
- Maintain current client and business relations.
- Perform pre-departure checks on the bike.
- Receive inquiries/information and pass them to the line manager.
- Control expenses.
- Transport products and materials safely to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
- Wear proper PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading of products and envelopes.
- Adjust travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction.
- Inform the company promptly of any tickets issued against the vehicle during work hours.
- Report any incidents on the road promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle is parked in legal areas to avoid towing.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained through regular washing and servicing.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle movements.
- Report accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage to management.
- Ensure the vehicle's roadworthiness license is up to date.
- Service the vehicle at 3000 km intervals.
- Collect fuel orders when needed and fill the bike with 95 unleaded fuel.
- Regularly lubricate the chain.
- Secure the vehicle before ending the day.
- Maintain specific routes or areas for package collection and delivery.
- Use the motorcycle to perform duties efficiently.
- Handle multiple packages simultaneously.
- Possess good communication and navigation skills.
- Navigate busy city streets and avoid obstacles effectively.
Education and Experience
- Knowledge of general routes and directions.
- Background and experience in motorcycle driving.
- Valid Code A Driver’s license.
- Experience with customer deliveries in the Gauteng area.
- Experience dealing with Customs (an advantage).
- High school certificate.
- At least 5 years of motorcycle riding experience.
