Logistics Coordinator Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing international exports and imports, ensuring efficient and compliant shipment processes. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Exports: Receive international enquiries, investigate destinations, and find solutions to deliver shipments to clients.
  2. Imports: Receive orders and ensure all processes are followed to deliver stock to warehouses.
  3. Investigate foreign country requirements for shipments.
  4. Liaise with various supply chain operational divisions within and outside the company, including warehouse, manufacturing, planning, and transport.
  5. Oversee the smooth dispatch of shipments from origin to destination.
  6. Communicate with product management teams to assess supply capabilities and import requirements.
  7. Collaborate with business units to ensure efficient processes, considering various risks.
  8. Quote customers promptly and coordinate with administrators to process sales orders; obtain quotes for import shipments as needed.
  9. Manage all import documentation such as shipping notices, bills of lading, letters of credit, and ensure compliance with country requirements and regulations.
  10. Ensure all costs are investigated and shipping arrangements stay within budget.
  11. Manage shipping department staff effectively.
  12. Guide administrative staff on regulations and documentation requirements.
  13. Ensure compliance with statutory, company, SHEQ policies, and procedures.
