Job description

ACCOUNTANT (JUNIOR) / STELLENBOSCH / WESTERN CAPE - The accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (property or financial services sector is advantageous).
  • Experience with VAT, loan schedules, and management accounts preparation.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Daily processing of bank accounts, loan transactions, bond and lease-to-own transactions, bad debts, etc.
  • Preparing VAT201 and YTD recons
  • Prepare management accounts
  • Prepare and maintain loan schedules and circulating to lenders
  • Loading payments for legal expenses and loan repayments
  • Ensuring intercompany loans reconcile monthly
  • Assisting with preparation of compliance documents for National Credit Regulation
