Our well-established client in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Management of Information and Communication Director (IT Management).
The Management of Information and Communication Director oversees the functional management and operational supervision of information and communication technology and related services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensure appropriate implementation and support of information and communication technology for medical, business, and clinical systems by managing applications development/maintenance, data processing, network administration, office automation, and technical support activities.
- Lead hospital-wide IT strategic planning; identify and define short- and long-term system requirements; coordinate departmental input; develop organization-wide IT goals and priorities.
- Assess current and proposed IT plans; oversee the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of automated information systems to meet strategic technology needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the efficiency of hospital IT methods and procedures.
- Develop and implement programming standards, quality control procedures, and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies for system development, upgrades, or replacements.
- Evaluate user requirements; consult with managers and staff on new technologies and system integration needs.
- Serve as technical resource and project manager for IT projects, reviewing plans, designing resource schedules, and analyzing costs/benefits.
- Coordinate hardware and software installation and compatibility evaluations.
- Manage programming activities, network performance issues, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee vendor performance, resolve complex technology issues, and ensure project and budget compliance.
- Develop and manage hospital IT security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CBAHI, JCIA, ACI).
- Develop and oversee the IT budget, including capital expenses.
- Conduct annual IT needs assessments to inform planning and initiatives.
- Communicate IT plans, policies, and trends organization-wide.
- Collaborate with department managers to improve IT processes and streamline operations.
- Plan and supervise staff training on systems and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Licenses :
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Professional Experience :
- 5-10 years of managing or directing IT operations in a hospital or relevant organization.
