We are looking for a Portfolio Analyst based in Randburg / Ferndale with experience in using Hogan and Plexis.

The role involves handling collections and recovery on accounts, engaging and reminding customers about payments, identifying early risks, conversing with customers regarding defaulting accounts, making payment arrangements on consumer accounts, assessing and making adjustments on accounts, and assisting with ongoing credit and risk management, as well as providing collection support and administration to control exposure.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing costs and expenses within approved budgets to achieve cost efficiencies.
  2. Delivering exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations through proactive, innovative, and appropriate solutions.
  3. Maintaining objective working relationships with stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers, and senior staff.
  4. Keeping updated on legislative amendments, industry best practices, and providing proactive advice and solutions.
  5. Monitoring daily overdrawn printouts and undertaking referrals to reduce overdrawn accounts.
  6. Ensuring compliance with governance, legislative, and audit requirements.
  7. Controlling branch OCS queues and SAD queues to reduce activities to zero.
  8. Approving facility requests within LDA and analyzing outside requests with recommendations.
  9. Managing dormant accounts to increase retention and decrease costs.
  10. Managing account categorization within the portfolio and ensuring up-to-date client information.
  11. Optimizing the collection process to increase recovery and efficiency.
  12. Gathering and distributing relevant business information.
  13. Managing personal development to enhance skills and competencies.

Ideal Candidate Profile : 2-3 years' experience in credit, collections, and/or recovery. Experience with Hogan and Plexis is advantageous. Knowledge of account risk management and payment arrangements.

Qualifications : Diploma at NQF Level 6. A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
